Drought Protection Built on Data

PRF coverage protects your hay and grazing land against lack of precipitation, using a rainfall index tied to your specific location rather than requiring an on-the-ground loss inspection.

How it works:
Rather than measuring what happens on your actual acres, PRF uses a rainfall index for your grid area, tracked in two-month intervals throughout the year. You choose which intervals matter most to your operation's growing season, and if rainfall in those intervals falls below your selected coverage level, you receive a payout — regardless of whether you had an actual physical loss.

Flowchart showing steps for choosing PRF coverage: select grid based on rainfall index zone, choose intervals matching growing season, set coverage percentage to 70-90%. Reviewed historical rainfall data over 30+ years informs personalized coverage plan tailored to operation's growth season and risk.
